State Team Qualifying Rules

2019 State Team Qualifying Rules

A member that wishes to compete for a spot on the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team must comply with these rules.

Each member must be a member in Good Standing of a Oregon BASS Nation Affiliated Club prior to entering the first tournament. 

2018 Tournaments will consist of 4 Draw Tournaments. All 4 of these tournaments will have payouts.

The 2018 Schedule will be Boaters against Boaters and Non Boaters against Non Boaters. These will all be Draw Tournaments.

Each member must enter all 4 tournaments on the 2018 schedule to qualify for the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team.

Each member must fish 3 out of the 4 tournaments to qualify for the 2018 Oregon BASS Nation State Team.

Boaters will fish for their own 5 Fish Limit each tournament.

Non Boaters will fish for their own 3 Fish Limit each tournament.

Each member’s points from each tournament will carry from tournament to tournament.

At the end of all four tournaments, the best 3 out of 4 tournaments will be used to calculate points for the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team.

The top 10 in points at the end of all four tournaments, on the Boater and Non Boater side will be on the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team.

Big Fish of the 2018 season will break any ties after all four tournaments are complete to qualify for the 2019 Oregon BASS State Team. 

Second, if there is still a tie, then it will go to the most fish caught and released alive for the 2018 season.(All 4 tournaments)

Third, if still tied, then total weight for the 2018 season will be used.(All 4 tournaments) 


Draw Tournaments:


BOATERS: To guaranty that you get to fish the tournaments, you must sign up with a non boater. You must find your own non boater before you enter the tournament. If you cannot find a non boater, you will be asked to pay a $75 deposit with your $150 entry fee for a observer for the tournament day if a non boater cannot be found.

Boaters that sign up for the first tournament must be boaters the rest of scheduled tournaments to qualify for the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team as a Boater. If you choose to fish a tournament as a non boater, you will not be eligible for the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team as a boater unless you have fished at least 3 events as a boater.

Non Boaters: To guaranty that you get to fish the tournaments, you must sign up with a boater. If you do not have a boater, you can choose to be put on a waiting list, first come first served. To be put on this list you must send in your $75 entry fee and entry form to hold your spot. If there is no boater available, you will have the option to get your entry back or pay for the next tournament.

Non Boaters that sign up for the first tournament must be non boaters the rest of scheduled tournaments to qualify for the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team as a non boater. If you choose to fish a tournament as a boater, you will not be eligible for the 2019 Oregon BASS Nation State Team as non boater unless you have fished at least 3 events as a non boater.


Official Practice Day:

All waters of the tournament Monday through Thursday prior to the tournament are Off Limits. The Friday before the tournament is a official practice day and you must follow the official day practice rules.  You must be off the water by 4:00 pm, no exception.
